If you would like to support the children in the The First Grader film, we have set up a Kenyan Charity to administer funds and oversee building projects for the school and community at which the film was shot (The Oloserian Academy), as well as the school that Maruge originally attended in Eldoret. The fund is being overseen by Blue Sky Films who were the local production company on The First Grader and have a long standing relationship with everyone involved.

Thus far we have installed electricity, water tanks, purchased school books, built an extra classroom and are in the process of building a dining hall. Further funds will go towards building key facilities for the school, as well as enabling more children to attend (it currently costs £185 per year for a child to attend Oloserian).
